TaoTronics TT-AH001 Cool Mist Humidifier is an ultrasonic type for quiet operation and bedroom use, with a 4L water tank, integrated filter, and auto shut-off function.

You have a convenient LED display with a built-in Humidistat that tells you the current humidity level. There are three mist output levels, and they recommend setting it anywhere in the range of 40-60%. It comes with Nightlight & Sleep Modes so you can choose to turn on the nightlight or to shut off LED screen for a discreet sleep.

As usual with these devices, you have an automatic shuts-off system when water runs out. So it stops running and it has an icon on the display notifying you that it is out of water.

Observe that this unit is not designed for essential oils. They write this can damage the machine and cause leakage problems. In fact, I have seen some users complaining about leakage, so this may be simply due to inappropriate use.

Filter

You have a filter in this design and it is an integral part of the cap that you remove when refilling the reservoir. So this is a permanent part and it is also user-cleanable. This means you have no extra expenses here, this question is frequently asked so just to know.

You can clean it with vinegar, simply soak it in it and let stay for half an hour or so. How frequently you have to do this? Well, this depends on the area where you live and how hard the water is. In the area where I live water is full of limestone.

On the other hand, at the manufacturer’s site, they recommend you change filters every 4-6 months.
